Kinsers at War

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.    ~Thomas Jefferson

Numerous Kinsers have served in America's armies. There are too many to try to list all of them but several have distinguished themselves in service or have participated in historic events. These are a few of their stories. http://www.mcdowellwv.com/watch_ol_glory_fly.html
Revolutionary War

Several Kinsers served in various branches of the continental armies during the American Revolution. Jacob Kinser was in one of the units serving with Washington at Valley Forge. The scarcity of records make it difficult to confirm that Jacob was actually there.

Among the Virginia Revolutionary War Soldiers are John, George, and Jacob Kinser, Michael Kinser, Michael Kinsier, Michael Kinsor, Howson Kinser, and from Pennsylvania, Valentine Kinser. The D.A.R Patriot Index lists Henry and Nicholas Kinser as well.
